Since many brands of wire feeders use the Tweco 4 and Euro gun connections, the new Dura-Flux direct plug kits more than double the types of wire feeders the gun can be used with.

BEECHER, Ill., May 22, 2008—For increased jobsite versatility, Bernard Welding Equipment’s ew Dura-Flux™ self-shielded flux-cored welding gun can now be configured with direct plugs for wire feeders outfitted with Tweco® 4 and Euro® gun connections.

Direct plug replacement kits make Dura-Flux direct plugs easily interchangeable, allowing companies with several brands of feeders to move the Dura-Flux from one brand of feeder to another simply by switching the direct plug and trigger cord adapter.

The new Tweco 4 and Euro direct plugs were developed in response to increased demand for the Dura-Flux gun from welders using wire feeders with these types of gun connections. In addition to the Tweco 4 and Euro direct plugs, the Dura-Flux can also be configured with Miller® and Lincoln® direct plugs.

Designed to withstand the oftentimes brutal environments of construction, shipbuilding, heavy manufacturing and rental applications, the Dura-Flux gun features a non-metallic trigger that reduces heat absorption during high-amperage self-shielded flux-cored welding, a small trigger guard that increases the gun’s maneuverability in confined areas and a sealed microswitch that keeps out dust, dirt and other contaminants.

The Dura-Flux is rated to 350 amps at 60 percent duty cycle and can handle higher current loads at reduced duty cycles. It accepts flux-cored wire up to 3/32-in. and is equipped with a heavy-duty monocoil power cable and Bernard’s Centerfire™ contact tips, which last up to three times longer than other brands.

For a limited time, the Dura-Flux will be packaged at no additional charge with Miller SuitCase™ 12RC and SuitCase X-TREME™ 12VS wire feeders.
