The intergration provides packaged welding solutions for fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance and repair operations and more. Visit the Bernard integration page to learn more about which Miller products feature Bernard guns and consumables.

Save Cost and Improve Welds with the Neck Grip and Coupler
Are you still using an old rag, duct tape or whatever else is handy to wrap around your gun neck as a hand rest while welding? If so, you really need to give Bernard's new Neck Grip™ a try!

Made from a durable insulating silicone, the Neck Grip easily slides over any Bernard Q-gun or S-Gun™ neck and provides excellent protection from the heat of the neck. It can also help you improve your welding accuracy and control.

And if you have applications that require unusual neck bends, be sure to check out the new Neck Coupler™. It lets you join multiple MIG gun necks, saving you the cost and downtime of ordering a custom neck.

Visit the Bernard Web site to learn more about the Neck Grip and Neck Coupler and where to get yours today.

Bernard is offering MIG Tips subscribers a sneak peek at a brand new product that won’t be fully released to the public until late March. See below for your exclusive look at the new water-cooled Centerfire™ System consumables.

The Secret to Great MIG Welds

Combining good technique, the right parameters and properly functioning equipment can take the mystery out of MIG welding

Making good MIG welds requires proper technique, the right electrical parameters and properly functioning equipment. If any of these elements is out of place, your resulting weld will almost always be sub-par.

Since your MIG gun and consumables are the most handled pieces of equipment and also the closest in proximity to the welding arc, they are continually exposed to heat and mechanical stress. For that reason, it’s critical to maintain your gun and consumables.

Most gun and consumables maintenance—from the power pin connection to the contact tip—is relatively simple and can be performed without accruing too much downtime.

Still, no amount of maintenance will guarantee that problems won’t arise. When weld defects or equipment failures do occur, you need to be able to accurately identify the source of the problem and properly correct it.

Visit the Bernard Web site to learn more about how routine maintenance and proper troubleshooting can help ensure successful MIG welds.

EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: Water-Cooled Centerfire parts!

As our way of saying “Thanks,” we’re giving MIG Tips subscribers an exclusive look at our new water-cooled Centerfire System consumables. Until now, welders who enjoyed the benefits of the air-cooled Centerfire products have been out of luck when it came to their water-cooled operations. Not any more!

Featuring all of the quality, productivity and efficiency enhancing features of the air-cooled system, the water-cooled Centerfire System uses a slip-on nozzle that fits over and is cooled by the neck to dissipate heat in high-amperage applications. The water-cooled Centefire consumables also feature an easily changed, drop-in contact tip and provide smooth shielding gas coverage and outstanding durability.

The new water-cooled components feature two types of nozzles, both copper and both with a 3/4-in. opening, which allow for either a 1/8-in or a 1/4-in. contact tip recess. A special contact tip holder is used to ensure optimum conductivity between the diffuser and contact tip, and also provides the superior shielding gas coverage that is a trademark of the Centerfire system.

In fact, the water-cooled Centerfire System is so new that the only way to learn more about it is to contact Bernard Customer Support for specific product and distributor information. But be sure to check the Bernard Web site often, as additional information will be added soon.
